The Character and Ethics Club

The CCSR is a network of resources and professional development for both current and future educators.  The faculty and staff at Boston University’s School of Education value the importance of teachers and administrators serving as moral educators. The need to incorporate character development and social responsibility into the classroom has been instilled in the students of BU’s School of Education.

Two undergraduates of the School of Education founded The Character and Ethics Club (CEC) at Boston University in 2009. In the past few years, the club has expanded and developed, attracting not only education majors but also undergraduates from across the university.  The CEC shares a common mission with the CCSR to expand awareness of character development and social responsibility on campus, in classrooms, in the community and globally. The club has made a significant presence on campus and in Boston through community service projects, campus events and volunteering at the annual CCSR conference.
