Restoring files on ACS
If you accidentally delete or overwrite a file, you can use the "flost" program to notify operations staff that you need the file restored. The easiest way to access flost is with the Web-based interface at www.bu.edu/computing/acs/flost/.
You can also do it in UNIX. Type flost at the ACS command prompt in a Telnet or SSH session and the flost program will prompt you for filename, creation date, etc.
If you need help using Telnet or SSH, please see the instructions at www.bu.edu/pcsc/email/remote/locatingtelnet.html.
See the flost man page for further information.
