Boston University Photonics Center (BUPC):
BUPC was established in 1997 to promote New England’s leadership in the area of photonics research and technology development.  BUPC is a 235,000 square foot facility with ten floors that house more than twenty-five faculty research laboratories (capabilities of individual faculty labs will be highlighted as necessary in the projects section), three shared laboratories and a business incubator.  The BUPC also has instructional and seminar facilities specifically designed for photonics research and education.  The conference facilities include a reception area, conference room with HD video conferencing capabilities, a large colloquium room, a multi-use classroom with video conference capabilities, atrium library and four smaller conference rooms for breakout sessions.

NSF Center for Biophotonics Science and Technology (CBST):
CBST is located on the UC Davis Medical Center campus in Sacramento, California.  Construction of this 9,679 square foot state of the art facility was completed in June 2005 and includes CBST’s central laboratories, administrative offices, meeting and seminar rooms, student/post-doctoral researcher offices, and student/faculty exchange.  The facility also has a dedicated teaching laboratory/classroom focused on the education of K-16 students and teachers, interdisciplinary researchers and industrial affiliates.
