Q: How far in advance do you recommend booking The Castle?
A: We recommend booking your event as far in advance as possible for optimum availability; however, we can accommodate requests with as little as six weeks notice if the date you are looking for is still available.
Q: How many guests can we accommodate in this facility?
A: The Castle can accommodate different numbers of guests depending on the type function you would like to have.
Sit down buffet meal — a maximum of 56 guests
Sit down served meal — a maximum of 92 guests seated between two adjoining rooms
Standing reception with buffet or cocktail stations — a maximum of 125 guests with seating for a maximum of 40 guests at any one time.
The first floor can also be set for meetings or lectures. Depending on the size of your group and the nature of your program, one or more of the adjoining rooms may need to be used.
The third floor meeting room can accommodate about 35 people with ample room for a coffee or refreshment station.
The capacities as listed above are our maximum capacities as issued by the Fire Marshall for the City of Boston and cannot be exceeded under any circumstances. Also, due to the historic nature of this building, it is not ADA accessible.
Q: Will we have exclusive use of The Castle?
A: Depending on the time and nature of your event there may be other activities going on in the building during your event. Your conference coordinator will discuss scheduling options with you when reserving the Castle.
Q: What are your deposit and cancellation policies?
A: Deposit — A non-refundable deposit in the amount of the Facility Fee is due with along with your signed contract,
Future Payments — Payments will be based on menu choices and other services. The balance of all estimated charges will be due prior to the event on a payment schedule to be determined on the contract.

Q: Can we use an outside caterer?
A: All events held on campus are required to use Boston University “Catering on the Charles” for all food and beverage requirements. Our catering staff offer delicious and skillfully prepared foods of all types. Customized menu packages are available for review and discussion.
Q: Is there parking at The Castle for my guests?
A: Parking in an adjacent lot can be arranged. Parking passes must be purchased in advance. There is also street parking available around the Castle.
