About The Castle
One of Boston University’s most elegant buildings is the Tudor Revival mansion known as the Castle, a former residence that now serves as a picturesque location for special events. Whether you are hosting a lively wedding reception or an intimate dinner party, you will find that the Castle is ideal for your event.
To create the perfect experience, a professional event coordinator will assist you with planning, offer referrals to area vendors, and manage the details on the day of your event. Our staff takes pride in offering quality service to every guest who comes through our front door and our extensive experience in coordinating logistics means you can relax and enjoy your event along with your guests.
The first floor of the Castle features the Great Hall, the Music Room, the Library, and the Dining Room. The Castle can accommodate up to 92 people for a seated dinner and up to 125 people for a standing reception. During the summer, there is a patio on the ground floor available in conjunction with an event on the first floor. Please note that due to the historic nature of the building, it is not ADA-accessible.
The Castle is managed by Boston University Events & Conferences, a department dedicated to providing event planning support to both BU departments as well as guests to our campus.
