CAS Information Technology manages several software packages for the College, including the distribution of Stata and ArcGIS.
ArcGIS is available for any faculty and staff of CAS. Members of other colleges and non-BU employees affiliated with the university can acquire it for $125 per license.
Statistical software (JMP, SPSS, SAS)
JMP and SPSS is provided free of charge under Boston University’s site license for faculty and staff teaching and conducting academic research. Visit http://www.bu.edu/tech/support/desktop/distribution/statistics/ for more information. A BU login is required.
SAS (Statistical Analysis System) can be accessed via http://www.bu.edu/tech/support/desktop/software/acsunix/software/stats/sas/ or purchased from BUMC.

Stata must be acquired from the company at http://www.stata.com. It is no longer distributed by CAS IT.
Microsoft Office and Adobe Software
The campus recently went under a campus agreement for Microsoft products. This means that all faculty and staff have access to portions of the Microsoft software catalog at no cost.
