Virtual Desktops

The Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) service provided by CAS Information Technology provides faculty and students with a standardized desktop environment outside of a traditional computer lab setting. By downloading and installing the VMware Horizon Client, the virtual machines (VMs) are accessible from any computer connected to the BU network. Please refer to the documents below for detailed instructions.

BU’s VPN (Virtual Private Network) is necessary for using the VDI off-campus. Download instructions for using VPN

Maintenance Windows

Virtual Desktop maintenance is scheduled every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 6-10PM. VMs will be unavailable for the duration of the outage.
