Welcome Back

Welcome back returning faculty and staff, and greetings to those new to the Boston University Community!

If you need computing assistance, we’re located at 685 Commonwealth Avenue, room 331, and we’re open Monday-Friday, 8AM-6PM.

Fall Semester

August 29th, 2017


CAS Information Technology will be resuming it’s normal Fall Semester hours beginning on September 5th. We will be open Monday-Friday, 8AM – 6PM.


Early closing on July 3rd

June 29th, 2017


CAS IT will be closing at 1PM on Monday, July 3rd. We will reopen on July 5th at 9AM.


Summer Hours

May 26th, 2017

CAS IT will be open from 9AM-5PM during the Summer. We will resume extended hours for the Fall semester.

Patriots’ Day closing

April 14th, 2017


CAS IT will be closed on Patriots’ Day. We will reopen at 8AM on Tuesday, April 18.


Spring Semester Hours

January 13th, 2017

As of Tuesday, February 17, CAS IT will be open from 8AM – 6PM for the Spring semester.

CAS IT Holiday Hours

December 19th, 2016


CAS IT will be open from 9AM – 5PM until the beginning of the Spring semester in January. We will be closed during intersession.

Thanksgiving closing

November 23rd, 2016


CAS IT will be closing at 1PM on Wednesday, November 23, for the Thanksgiving holiday. We will reopen on Monday, November 28, at 8AM.


Printing and the new campus firewalls

November 15th, 2016

During the normal early morning change window on November 17, 2016, IS&T plans to roll-out an update to the campus firewalls to prevent unsolicited printing (spam or hate print) coming from the Internet to both campuses. With this change, printing from off campus will no longer be possible without utilizing VPN services. Included below is a bit of additional information about this change that may be helpful. If you are in need of an exemption to this firewall policy, please submit a request online at:

Veterans Day Closing

November 10th, 2016


CAS IT will be closed for Veterans Day on Friday, November 11. We will reopen on Monday at 8AM and address any technical issues from Friday that morning.
