Check Out Our New Video Series

“The Journey: How New Ideas Are Born” is a new video series from BU Arts & Sciences where faculty discuss their cutting-edge research and how that research came about—from the initial spark to the process of discovery and creating knowledge.

For our first video, join Assistant Professor of History and African American Studies Paula Austin as she takes us on a journey back nearly 100 years, to Jim Crow Washington, DC, where black youths navigated discrimination in ways that remain all too familiar to young black people living in US cities today. You can read more about Paula’s research in the fall issue of arts&sciences magazine.
