Professor of Religion David Frankfurter’s book Christianizing Egypt: Syncretism and Local Worlds in Late Antiquity won the 2019 Philip Schaff Prize of the American Society of Church History. The Philip Schaff prize annually honors the best book on the history of Christianity by a North American scholar published in the prior calendar year. David will be honored for his work at an awards luncheon in January.
