Professors Mookherjee, Paserman Receive Economics Department Awards

Professor Dilip Mookherjee is this year’s winner of the endowed Gitner Prize for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, an internal Department of Economics award. A specialist in contract and organization theory and development, Dilip is the author or editor of numerous books and papers and has examined issues such as government accountability, land reform, and economic development.

Associate Professor Daniele Paserman is this year’s winner of the endowed Neu Family Award for Teaching Excellence in Economics, also an internal Department of Economics award. Daniele is the author of numerous papers and in 2005 was awarded the Ga’aton Prize for the best article on the Israeli economy. His fields of interest include labor economics, applied microeconomics, behavioral economics, political economy, and applied econometrics. The winners of the Neu Award and Gitner Prize are chosen by the three most recent recipients of the awards.
