Learn a New Language at CAS

Come learn one of four languages showcased in the 2010 Language Series! Four of these crucial languages will be showcased in the 2010 Language Series!

Monday, Nov. 1: Hindi
Tuesday, Nov. 2: Chinese
Wednesday, Nov. 3: Portuguese
Thursday, Nov. 4: Arabic

Boston University's Howard Thurman Center will launch the series with Hindi/Urdu on Monday, November 1, and end on November 4 with Arabic. Each session will be from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the Howard Thurman Center. Instructors and student organizations will be in attendance for each Language Day to teach an enticing preview course and tell you about the many ways to learn the language as a student at BU.

Speakers for these critical languages are in greater demand than ever before and the U.S. State Department has created scholarships for studying them in the U.S. and overseas. Knowing these languages will give you a career edge in such fields as diplomacy, intelligence, business, engineering, international development, and academia.

Learn how you can take advantage of BU's $500,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Defense, Rosetta Stone, ERC Language Link, new and exciting language course offerings, study abroad opportunities, and scholarships! RSVP by emailing Luwam Ghidei (lghidei@bu.edu) with the name of the language in the subject line. Hope to see you there!
