Sustainable Neighborhood Showcase: Alumni Weekend
1-3 p.m., 1st floor, Photonics Building.

Drop-in to see dynamic displays by engineers and entrepreneurs. Learn about the Sustainable Neighborhood Lab. Come for refreshments, networking and innovative explorations.

BU students, faculty and alumni are making great strides in creating new technologies for sustainable solutions. The Showcase is a place for all ages to see engineers and entrepreneurs coming together to make a positive impact on the urban environment- smart lighting, smart parking, smart buildings, and cars that actually do more than drive. Get a preview of what could be coming to your neighborhood.

Displays Include:

  • The Breathing Forest
  • Bytelight - founder Arron Gannick, class of 2010
  • "Draw Your Green Neighborhood" - kids activity
  • BU Energy Club
  • Green Office Certification by BU Sustainability
  • Carbon Metabolism of Boston
  • "Smarter Parking, Smarter City"
  • Visual Light Communication
