Creating Communities of Support for DACA & Undocumented College Students
With Dr. Susana Muñoz, Assistant Professor of Higher Education at Colorado State University.
Policies and law-enforcement impacting DACA and undocumented students in the higher education space are changing fast. Educators must work to move beyond a basic understanding of these students, and begin working toward a comprehensive system of supporting them and their futures.
Dr. Muñoz is the author of Identity, Social Activism, and the Pursuit of Higher Education: The Journey Stories of Undocumented and Unafraid Community Activists. Her extensive research and active support of the lives of these students provides a starting point for our conversation about how we as present & future educators, administrators, and allies can make this happen.
This event is open to all students, faculty, staff, and BU community members. Please RSVP at http://www.bu.edu/sed/calendar/undoc
