Professor Fallou Ngom's talk will consist of two parts. The first part will introduce the use of linguistic cues in the determination of genuine asylum claims in many Western countries. The second part will deal with the knowledge contained in the largely overlooked African Ajami text-records of African languages written in Arabic script.

Join us for an evening of learning and discussion with one of BU's most engaging teachers. Light refreshments will be served.
