Keynote speaker: C. Brian Rose, University of Pennsylvania. Reception to follow in the Castle. As the director/co-director of excavations at two legendary sites in Turkey -Troy and Gordion – Dr. Rose reflects on 25 years of strategies for presenting these places to the public and to the scholarly community. In this talk, he will place his own work at these sites in historiographic perspective, with a focus on the extent to which regional, national, and global developments have shaped the research agendas.
