Information for Undeclared Students, 2007/2008

Advising for students who have not yet declared their concentrations will beginMonday, February 25th. (If you have chosen a concentration, you should contact your department for early registration information.)

In order to register for Fall 2008 classes, you must meet with an advisor to discuss your
course selection and your academic program. You will be unable to register officially until you have met with an academic advisor and received his or her signature on your early registration form. Your advisor’s signature will enable us to release your Academic Advising Code (AAC). This code will allow you access to the university telephone and web registration system so that you may register by phone or on the web Sunday, April 13th (for those who have sophomore or freshman standing in Fall'08).

You should choose your faculty advisor and schedule your advising appointment as
soon as possible. Appointments are made in the CAS Academic Advising Center, Room 105 (617-353-2400).

Available below are the Early Registration Form, Instructions for Registration, and the Faculty Advisor Biographies, which will help you choose an advisor. You should download the Early Registration Form and carefully follow the instructions for making and preparing for your faculty advising appointment.

The earlier you make your appointment, the better your chances of securing your registration code prior to the beginning of University-wide registration.  Should you wait until after the early registration advising period to make an appointment with an advisor, you may be unable to register until after the first week of registration.

If you do not have a 2007/2008 Undergraduate Bulletin, you may pick one up at the Office of the University Registrar, 881 Commonwealth Avenue (2nd floor), or you may access this information on Boston University’s Student Link, where you may also find a schedule of classes. The Bulletin lists and describes undergraduate courses offered at Boston University and will assist you in selecting your courses for the upcoming semester.

Please call 617-353-2400 or stop by the CAS Academic Advising Center, Room 105, to make your advising appointment as soon as possible.
