Initiative on Cities to Launch, with Menino on Board

December 12th, 2013

Departing Boston Mayor Thomas Menino will launch a new chapter in his life’s journey in February: as co-director of BU’s new Initiative on Cities. The College of Arts & Sciences-affiliated center will bring leaders of cities from around the world to share their hands-on knowledge with scholars from BU and other universities. The goal is to find better ways to tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing urban centers in the 21st century.

Menino recently stopped by campus to lecture and answer questions from students in Professor David Glick’s course “The Politics and Policy of HBO’s ‘The Wire.’” Read the Boston Herald article.
