What is SeniorNet?
It is a resource that we have developed for students (like you) who
are undeclared, confused, or curious about the many majors offered
at the University. SeniorNet provides a way to help clear up your
confusion. The best way to inform yourself is to talk with your peers.
SeniorNet is available during the academic year.
What do I do? It's easy! Below you can click on "Search for
Seniors" and you will find the listing of the majors for which we have
volunteers. Go to the majors you are interested in and begin your
search. Simply call or e-mail the senior with your questions. The
seniors have volunteered to talk to you, and they have been recommended
by a staff member from their department. They want to help!
Here are some examples of questions you might ask:
- Why did you select this major?
- What type of courses did you find helpful?
- What were your impressions of the course work involved in the major?
- What was the depth and breadth of the coursework?
- How did all of the courses fit together to form a concentration?
- What types of career opportunities will you be seeking?
If you have any questions please e-mail Peter Waelsch at pwaelsch@bu.edu
or call of the Office of Career Services at 617-353-3590.
