Perhaps the most important thing to keep in mind as you poke around this section is that the words “major” and “career” are not interchangeable. Your major doesn’t lock you into a career path, nor does it necessarily lead directly toward one.
There are countless stories of BU graduates finding their professional bliss in areas outside their fields of study—and just as many who used their major as a springboard into a related career. Your major will not make or break your future; rather, it serves as an important tool to focus and fortify your academic foundation while on campus. Make it work for you as much as you work for it.
