Consider teaching English abroad, a one or two year service program, a sailing adventure, independent travel, or doing temporary work as a method of career exploration. Here is a site that can help you think about it: Alternative Work

Fellowships provide funding for significant and often unique work experience that may otherwise not be available to applicants. They provide short-term financial support to accompany research or experiential opportunities that last from a few months to several years. Most fellowships require at least a college degree; however, there are some fellowships that allow undergraduate students to participate.
Fellowships support activities such as graduate study in a specific field, research initiatives, work exploration, leadership activities and more.
