Internships – How We Can Help
Counseling Appointments
Counselors are available to help you with any step of the process. To make an appointment, call 617-353-3590.
Resume/Cover Letter Assistance
Our staff can assist with helping you polish your resume or cover letter. We strongly encourage you to have both reviewed before applying!
First, write a draft. If you’re not sure how to do this, come to a resume and cover letter workshop (check the calendar for the next one) and check out the resume guide and/or the cover letter guide.
Second, print out a hard copy and come to the CCD to sign up for a 15-minute session during our daily review hours. No advance registration or scheduling needed, just stop by and sign up for the next available slot.
Note: Reviews are first come, first served. Each session can focus on either a resume or a cover letter, but not both. Please only sign up for one slot per day.
Career Resource Library
The Career Resource Library has a number of resources to assist you in finding an internship. There are general books on searching for an internship, as well as books listing internships in various career fields and in different geographic locations. Stop by the library any time the office is open; no appointment necessary!
On-Campus Interviews
In general, most of the on-campus interviews scheduled with our office are for employers hiring recent graduates for full-time jobs. However, that is changing! More frequently now, we are being asked by employers to host on-campus recruiting for internship interviews. Watch our website and BU CareerLink for future announcements.
