Santander: For Students

Boston University’s Santander Sophomore Internship Program is a selective, educational program that provides eligible students with a living allowance stipend to support their participation in unpaid internships during the summer following freshman or sophomore year. The program’s required components and educational framework provide guidance for the participating students as they search for, pursue, and secure unpaid internships that are a good fit for their skills, interests, and developing career goals.

In addition to providing a living allowance stipend of $3,000, the program is designed to enhance recipients’ learning experiences through program components such as the development of a learning agreement and, upon the internship’s conclusion, the writing of a reflective essay.

Although applicants are not required to secure an internship before applying to the program, continued participation and funding is contingent upon securing a qualified summer internship before the end of spring semester.
