Position Overview:
As an actuarial intern, you'll gain hands-on experience using your statistics or mathematical degree in real-world applications. Actuarial analysts use their problem solving skills to formulate pension plans, calculate retirement benefits and forecast long-term risk-benefit analyses. You'll also learn to work closely in a team environment and to communicate directly with clients.

Responsibilities:
- Interact with clients in administrative tasks that include client data, benefit calculations, and benefit statements
- Value annual pension and/or post-retirement medical plans
- Participate in investment studies and in the processing of participant data
- Remit governmental compliance documents
- Project long-term assets, liabilities, and contribution requirements

Qualifications:
- Pursuit of an undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or other mathematics-related degrees
- Interest in learning practical applications of actuarial science
- Strong analytical and computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to task
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to pass actuarial exams
