Our present and past CEO’s were all Buyers, so whether you are interested in Planning & Allocation, Buying, or Executive Management, TJX’s Corporate Merchandise Training Program (CMTP) will give you what you need to be successful. The CMTP teaches you how to run the retail business from behind the scenes and develops future leaders in our Merchandising Division. In return, we look for you to use your strong analytical, entrepreneurial, and leadership skills to strategically drive the TJX businesses.

Your career begins in Planning & Allocation as an Allocation Analyst. Planners drive sales by analyzing reports and trends, anticipating customer buying patterns and managing inventory levels. They play a critical role in the management of our businesses and help determine the assortment of goods that are seen in our stores every day. As your career continues, you will pursue a career in either Merchandise Planning & Allocation or Merchandise Buying.

Buyers are empowered, through their intelligent risk-taking and entrepreneurism, to make the ultimate decision on merchandise for our stores. They travel regularly to domestic and international markets sourcing merchandise and building relationships in order to drive their businesses. As you further develop your skills, you will have a tremendous opportunity for growth into Executive Management.

TJX Executives provide leadership and career development for a team of Buyers. They develop strategic business and financial plans managing over $600 million annually.
