Clinical Research Associate


ORA Clinical Research and Development, Inc. is an internationally renowned drug development group located in North Andover, MA, just 25 miles north of Boston. We are a rapidly growing company that specializes in developing ophthalmic pharmaceuticals and novel disease models to evaluate these therapies.

ORA consults with leading pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology companies and is involved with every stage of a drug's development taking a drug from "powder through FDA approval". This includes developing clinical, regulatory, business, and marketing plans, interfacing with and applying to the FDA, and medical writing.

The Clinical Research Associates at ORA have the opportunity to:

 be involved in the development of cutting-edge drug and devices
 be involved in the development of novel disease models
 have considerable interaction with patients, physicians, and pharmaceutical companies
 learn a tremendous amount about pathophysiology of ocular disease, and relationships to systemic diseases (such as immunology/allergy) and the pharmacology of therapeutics;
 write scientific articles, abstracts, and present their research at national meetings;

Applicants must be self-motivated individuals who are hard-working, dedicated, resourceful, able to multi-task, work effectively in cross-functional teams, effective project managers and offer creative solutions to complex problems. Working independently and professionally, being detail oriented, and taking initiative are also critical. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project) and web-based literature and information searches is preferred.

Anyone interested in a career in the medical sciences, clinical research, or the pharmaceutical industry should apply. Backgrounds in biology, bio-chemistry, chemistry, statistics, writing, or business are helpful, but not required. Alumni with experience in project management, pharmaceuticals or clinical research are strongly encouraged to apply.
