Fairs for the 2008-2009 season:
Fall Career Expo: Thursday, October 16, 2008.
Spring Job and Internship Fair: Thursday, March 19, 2009.
The fairs for the 2008-2009 season will run from 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm.
They are held at the George Sherman Union, located at 775 Commonwealth
Avenue. Click
here for a map.
The cost to participate is $400 for businesses and $200 for non-profit and government
organizations. Two recruiters may attend the career fair. There is a surcharge of
$20.00 for each additional recruiter. Please note that these costs are
subject to change.
In order to register, you must have an account with BU Careerlink,
our online recruiting system. If you already have an account, click
here to login. If you do not have an account, click
here to register. We will add a registration link a few months
before each event.
When you sign up for our career fairs, we offer the following:
Space:
Your space will be a 6-foot by 3-foot folding table with two chairs.
There is room for displays; however, we reserve the right to place
larger displays in the back or on the edges of the showroom so that
other booths are not blocked.
Electrical Outlets:
We have a limited supply of electrical outlets and will assign them
on a first-come, first-served basis with paid registrations. Please
make your reservation as soon as possible if you require an electrical
outlet.
Food and Beverage:
Water will be available at all the employer tables when you arrive.
We offer a buffet lunch on the premises for all employer attendees.
There are a number of restaurant options in the area as well.
Parking:
A parking voucher for a designated Boston University parking
lot will be provided for one car per company on the day of the event.
Show Hours:
As a courtesy to our students who might be planning their attendance
to the fairs around their class schedule, we ask that you make every
effort to have a representative present for the full duration of the
event.
Cancellation / Refund Policy:
Refunds will be given only if a written cancellation notice is received
by the Office of Career Services at least one week in advance of the
event; it is the responsibility of the registrant to verify that we
have received the cancellation. No refunds will be given for later
cancellations, unless the Office of Career Services cancels the event
due to severe weather conditions. All unpaid registrations will be
billed to the registered organization. This office must receive all
outstanding payments for prior events before new registrations will
be accepted.
