Amanda Seider, Managing Director, Alumni Affairs, Teach for America
A Dorchester native, Amanda graduated from Boston Public Schools and attended Harvard College. After college, she joined Teach For America and taught 4th grade in Atlanta. Amanda then earned a master’s degree in medical anthropology at Emory University, with a focus on health and socioeconomic equality. She joined Teach For America’s staff in 2005 as a member of the alumni affairs team, and in 2007, she returned home to Boston to launch the Massachusetts alumni network. Today, she is charged with catalyzing the impact of nearly 1,500 Teach For America alumni in Massachusetts by keeping them connected to TFA, to high-leverage opportunities, and to one another.
