Four-time fellowship winner and founder, Vicki Johnson, will give insider tips on how to find and win highly sought-after fellowships. Johnson will discuss how to stand out in the application and interview process, and some of her tips might surprise you.

About Vicki Johnson

Vicki Johnson is Co-founder of, and advises students and professionals on finding fellowships, developing a strong project proposal, and navigating the group and individual interviews. Ms. Johnson has over 10 years experience in public policy and disaster management and is an active alumnus of four competitive fellowship programs including the New York City Urban Fellows program (2001-2), the German Chancellor Fellowship (2003-4), and the Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship (2005). She just completed her fourth fellowship, the Ian Axford Fellowship in Public Policy in New Zealand and is currently a PhD candidate at Massey University in Wellington on a full scholarship from GNS Science. Previously, Ms. Johnson was Policy Director of the National Commission on Children and Disasters in Washington, DC. She has a BA in Government from Cornell University and an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
