When you think of BU CareerLink, a website featuring internship and job postings may come to mind. While BU CareerLink does give you access to thousands of opportunities, there are also a number of other resources that are available to you through the site.

Workshops & Events
Did you know that you can RSVP for career-related events and programs on BU CareerLink?

  • The CCD offers a number of workshops on a variety of topics including resumes, cover letters, interviewing, LinkedIn, and much more.
  • Employers hold on-campus information sessions during the academic year. These events give you the opportunity to learn about the organization and to ask questions.
  • Career Expos are typically held twice a year and feature employers looking to fill internships and full-time positions. These events (also known as career fairs) are a fantastic opportunity to meet with a variety of different employers in one place. A list of organizations attending can be found through BU CareerLink a few weeks before the event.

To sign up, click on the EVENTS tab at the top of any BU CareerLink page. Three headings will appear: workshops, information sessions, and career fairs. Click on each heading to see the list of corresponding programs. Click on the title of the program to view details and RSVP!

Mock Interviews
Need interview practice? Check out BU CareerLink’s Mock Interviews. Pick a set of interview questions and then record your interview. Then, watch your recording to see how you can improve. There is also an option to send the recording to whomever you choose. You can make an appointment with a career counselor to go over the results. Get started by clicking on Mock Interviews in the RESOURCES tab.

Schedule a Career Counseling Appointment
Have a career-related issue you would like to discuss? All undergraduate and graduate students can schedule an appointment to meet one-on-one with a career counselor by clicking on the “Request a CCD Counseling Appointment” link in the SHORTCUTS list on the right side of the BU CareerLink homepage.

Want to work abroad? GoinGlobal is a great resource to research careers and organizations across the world. The country guides give you access to culture, visa, and interview advice for a variety of countries. Click on the GoinGlobal button on the left side of the the BU CareerLink homepage.

Be sure to check BU CareerLink regularly throughout the semester as events and postings (internships and jobs) are added daily.
