Jennifer Trachtenberg, Ph.D. – Child and Adolescent Fear and Anxiety Treatment Program

Jennifer Trachtenberg, Ph.D.Dr. Trachtenberg is a graduate of Cornell University (B.S.) and American University (Ph.D.). She received her Ph.D. in 2004. Dr. Trachtenberg completed her pre-doctoral internship at Bellevue Hospital Center and the NYU Child Study Center in New York City.  The following year, at the NYU Child Study Center, she provided cognitive-behavioral therapy for youth with anxiety and mood disorders and conducted evaluations for research studies investigating treatments for child/adolescent anxiety and childhood physical abuse. Dr. Trachtenberg subsequently spent two years at the Child Advocacy Center at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY.  She was an Instructor of Pediatrics and provided therapy services for teen and young adult mothers and for children with history of sexual or physical abuse. Dr. Trachtenberg was an associate in a private practice prior to moving to the Boston area and joining the staff of CARD.

Dr. Trachtenberg currently provides cognitive-behavioral therapy for children and adolescents with anxiety and related disorders and is a clinical supervisor of graduate students. She is also working with colleagues at Boston University, University of Miami, and Behavioral Tech Research, Inc. in Seattle, Washington to develop an online program for training clinicians in the cognitive-behavioral treatment of adolescent panic disorder.
