Asia in Transition 1919-2019 (BUCSA Symposium)
The Center for the Study of Asia, Pardee School of Global Studies, presents the symposium Asia in Transition: 1919-2019 This symposium will explore the tumultuous events that rocked Asia in 1919 and the transformative impact these events have had over the past century. Speakers will include Antara Datta (Royal Holloway, University of London), Thomas Barfield (Boston University), Michael Green (Georgetown University and CSIS), Erik Goldstein (Boston University), Yinan He (Lehigh University), Frederick Dickinson (Univ. of Pennsylvania), Mark E. Byington (Cambridge Institute for the Study of Korea), and Thomas Berger (Boston University). The event will be followed by the BU Center for the Study of Asia's Spring Reception from 4:00 to 5:30 pm, also at the Hillel House, 213 Bay State Road.
