US Jews and Israel: Are We Headed for Divorce?
A presentation and panel discussion on the increasingly contentious debate, here in the US, on Israel and Palestine. On the right of the political spectrum, Jews and others emphasize Israel’s great achievements as a "start-up nation,” as the “only democracy” in the Middle East, and a country both like and unlike others, entitled to live in peace within its own secure and internationally recognized borders. On the left of the political spectrum, Jews and others are increasingly troubled by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This event is part of the Yitzhak Rabin Memorial Lecture Series.
