PEP TRAINING - Working Effectively with Transgender and Gender Variant Clients.

ur clients are presenting with increasingly diverse presentations of gender and identity. There is much that is exciting and hopeful about this evolving experience of gender, but for many clinicians and clients, this topic can feel confusing, intimidating and scary. Despite much progress, transgender and non-binary clients continue to have increased levels of risk for emotional distress and physical harm. In this workshop, we will learn about how to understand gender identity and to help our clients achieve a greater sense of hope and resiliency. Attendees will learn to see and understand gender through a new model, with updates understanding of current terminology and best practices for assessment and treatment.
