The Bach Experience
Liebster Gott, wenn werd ich sterben? BWV 8 Cantata for the Sixteenth Sunday after Trinity, Marsh Chapel Choir and Collegium, Scott Allen Jarrett conducting. In this, the twelfth season of The Bach Experience, we begin with two works from Bach’s first months in Leipzig and compare them with two works from later in his output. Each Bach Experience Sunday begins at 9:45 a.m. with a 30- minute discussion of the work’s musical and theological significance. After a complimentary breakfast, we present a complete performance of the cantata during the Sunday morning service.
