Facebook Live: Gun Control and Public Health

Michael Siegel, MD, is a public health researcher at Boston University School of Public Health. Professor Siegel studies firearm violence, which he considers a public health issue. Particularly, he focuses on the effect of state firearm laws on gun violence rates within that state. He has written about the correlation between gun laws and mass shootings, the impact of concealed-carry laws, the firearm industry’s influence on the gun culture in the United States, and more. He'll go live at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 10 to discuss firearm violence in the United States and to take questions on the subject in real time.
