Ago Lona, led by the venerable percussionist, poet, and religious practitioner Román Díaz, is future-forward tradition that features the stunning Cuban vocalist Melvis Santa. The group’s repertoire is firmly rooted in Afro-Cuban tradition with an expansive sound thatrepresents every stop on this music’s constantly evolving journey; from the streets of Havana to international music festivals and New York cityjazz clubs.
