Progress in the Congo? A Discussion with Academia, Diaspora, and Activists
The Democratic Republic of Congo is rich in culture and natural beauty but has seen twenty years of underdevelopment and war, resulting in the deaths of over five million people. Please join representatives from schools and NGOs from across New England to discuss the many opportunities and challenges for peace and stability in the Congo . The event will include a panel discussion and short breakout sessions. Those with interest in human rights, african affairs, public policy, business, international intervention and development, activism, environment, and the many other related topics are encouraged to attend.
