Eating You Way to Longevity - Boca Raton
You are what you eat and what you eat may determine your longevity. Your diet, especially specific foods, can play a part in helping you look and feel younger and increase your longevity. Join nutritionist and author, Joan Salge Blake, Clinical Associate Professor at Boston University’s (BU) Sargent College, as she shares some science-based nutrition tips and strategies to keep you looking and feeling your best. 12:00pm | doors open 12:30pm | luncheon & discussion begin $25 per person. About Our Speaker: Joan Salge Blake is the author of Nutrition &You, 3rd ed., Pearson/Benjamin Cummings (2015), Nutrition & You: Core Concepts to Good Health, Pearson/Benjamin Cummings (2010), and Eat Right The E.A.S.Y. Way, Prentice Hall Press (1991). She is the co-author of Nutrition: From Science to You, 2nd ed. Pearson/Benjamin Cummings (2014). Joan is an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics National Media Spokesperson and a regular contributor as a nutrition expert on Fox25 TV and CBS, Boston. She has appeared on CBS, The Early Show, CNN, CBS News, NBC News, NPR, Fox TV, Boston, WBZ TV, Boston, WHDH TV, Boston, Pure Oxygen, Chronicle, Doctors on Call, and NiteBeat. In 2012, she was named by Good Housekeeping Magazine as the trusted person to follow on Twitter for healthy eating advice. Her weekly Nutrition and You blog can be found on the Boston Globe’s Boston.com website.
