School of Theatre presents OUR GIRL IN TRENTON
Boston University College of Fine Arts School of Theatre presents OUR GIRL IN TRENTON, a BU New Play Initiative workshop presentation. Written by BU Playwriting alumnus Cliff Odle and directed by Thomas Martin. Maxine LaVoy has taken a big step toward history. She has just won the New Jersey Democratic primary and is favored to become the first Black Female Governor of New Jersey. She will soon learn that the biggest challenges to her goal will come from inside her own campaign. OUR GIRL IN TRENTON takes a look at how the collision of race, sex, public expectation, and political ambition can make or un-make a candidate. No reservations are necessary for this free event.
