Duo YUMENO at Tufts University
Duo YUMENO—a widely acclaimed duo of Yoko Reikano Kimura (koto, shamisen, vocals) and Hikaru Tamaki (cello), the principal cellist of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic—offers a unique fusion of sound that explores both traditional Japanese and Western classical music and contemporary music through commissioning new works and creating their own arrangements. The duo comes to Tufts after recently completing an extensive tour of Japan and performing recitals on the East coast. Please join us after the concert for a reception co-sponsored by Tufts Asian Studies program. Tickets are free with a Tufts ID card (limit two per ID) and $10 for general admission. Call 617.627.3679 for tickets.
