Cinematheque: AN EVENING WITH ANDREW KIGHTLINGER
Kightlinger, an ex-BU production student, shows his South Dakota-shot first feature, Dust of War, a dazzling futurist genre film set on a post-apocalyptic American frontier. There are baroque characters, stirring battles, and a grindhouse sensibility in the honorable line of Mad Max, Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino. And Roger Corman above all.
