Cinematheque: AN EVENING WITH GARTH DONOVAN
In an interesting experiment, Donovan, filmmaker of the SXSW prizewinner, Phillip the Fossil, collaborated with Alex Karpovsky, star of the HBO series, Girls, for Rubberneck, tonight’s indie feature. Donovan co-wrote the screenplay, Karpovsky directs and plays the weirdo lead in this noirish thriller about love thwarted at a science facility on the edge of Boston.
