Workshop: Immigration Sponsorship Options after OPT
The ISSO will host Rhonda Tietjen of Ross Silverman LLP, a prominent Boston immigration law firm, for a discussion of options for those who wish to remain in the U.S. to continue employment after their period of F-1 Optional Practical Training. Students in J-1 status completing a period of Academic Training will also benefit from this workshop. This session will introduce participants to the H-1B classification, the H-1B “cap,” alternatives to H-1B (TN, E-3, J-1), lawful permanent residence and more. Pre-registration for this workshop is not required, but seating is limited to 60.This event is brought to you by the International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO), as part of International Education Week, a university-wide celebration of BU's global engagement.
