Summer Cooking Program: Ages 8-12

For children who love to be in the kitchen, our week-long class will have them cooking around the world. We begin the week with kitchen basics and French techniques. Through the week we will explore foods and techniques from the Mediterranean, as we cook our way through Greece, Morocco, Turkey, Italy, and Spain. We’ll explore the cuisine of Asia, as well as our own regional American cuisine. We wrap up our day with all enjoying a delicious lunch that we prepared! Young cooks will learn basics in kitchen safety, proper food handling, food preparation, cooking and baking techniques, presentation, and understanding recipes. Through this class, students will learn valuable culinary skills and techniques that they will use for the rest of their lives.
