The Crossroads Project
Exploring nature, humanity and the paths that lie before us through art and science The mandate for great and difficult achievement is manifest in the message coming from the science of sustainability and climate change. Yet information alone will not take us where we need to go; science needs the arts to compel a response. It is the synergy of these two great human enterprises that creates both intellectual and emotional clarity. Crossroads takes an audience from intellectual understanding, to visceral experience, to personal resolve. The Crossroads Project is Dr. Robert Davies, physicist and the Fry Street Quartet Presented by BU Arts Initiative, sustainability@BU and the Dean of Students This event will be Closed Captioned and include ASL interpretation The community conversation part of the program will be moderated by Dean of Students Kenn Elmore and include: Robert Davies - The Crossroads Project The Fry Street Quartet - The Crossroads Project Brian Swett - Chief of Environment & Energy for the City of Boston Lynne Allen - Director, School of Visual Arts - BU Cutler Cleveland - Professor of Earth and Environment - BU - Center for Energy and Environmental Studies & Senior Fellow at the National Council for Science and the Environment Nathan Phillips - Professor of Earth and Environment - BU and Executive Director of the Sustainable Neighborhood Lab Tickets are free, but you must register at www.bu.edu/arts
