Learning to Labor in an Era of Neo-Liberalism: Branding the Worker’s Soul in the Popular Business Press
Free and open to the public. Steven Vallas has been Professor of Sociology and Chair of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Northeastern University since 2009. A leading authority on the sociology of work, his many publications include books published by Yale, Oxford and SUNY Presses and articles in the American Journal of Sociology, American Sociological Review, Social Problems, Theory and Society, and Sociology. His latest monograph is entitled "Work: A Critique" (Polity Press, 2012).
