Trashpickers
Boston University alumna Julia Waterhous (COM ’12) will show excerpts from her film Trashpickers that focuses on the lives of waste pickers in New Delhi, India and their attempts to advocate for legalizing their livelihoods through incorporation into the formal waste collection system. The film is an examination of lives and livelihoods that revolve around waste, and the obstacles to attaining basic rights. Julia will lead a discussion following the screening.
