Silent Film Classics: Victor Sjostrom's "The Wind"
Silent Film Classics presents Victor Sjostrom's "The Wind," a 1928 romantic drama. Letty Mason moves from Virgina to the west prairies to live with her cousin. When she is kicked out she is forced to marry Lige, despite not loving him. The wind of the prairies keep Letty in the home and her feelings for Lige grow. He promises to send her back to Virginia when he financially can. However, a visitor who takes shelter from the wind in her home, threatens her happiness. Live music by Martin Marks on his piano will accompany the silent film. Sponsored by the BU Center for the Humanities.
