The Sixties at Fifty: Reexamining the Decade that Changed Everything
From the Summer of Love and Nixon, to the Beatles and the Vietnam War, the 1960s marked a decade of milestones, revolution, and enduring, far-reaching change. Fifty years later, some consider the sixties the source of everything good in contemporary life; others the source of everything evil. Join Bruce Schulman, Professor and Chair of the History Department at Boston University, as he reexamines this influential decade and its effects on modern-day life. 6:00 p.m. - Reception 7:00 p.m. - Discussion begins $20 per person. Registration fee includes beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres. Space is limited. Register now! Can't make this event? Join us in Boca Raton for "The Sixties at Fifty" on Wednesday, March 13th instead. (see calendar for details)
